My attention was called to Christian Science through the healing of a friend. Experiences for several years previous to this time had made me dissatisfied with my knowledge of God. I felt there was much more joy and satisfaction for us, if we only knew how to come into possession of it. This case of healing awakened a hope within me that it was possible in this world to gain something higher in Christianity than we had yet known.

I procured a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy and began the study of it. I read much which I was not then able to understand, but the small proofs I was enabled to make encouraged me to press on in my search for Truth. In the next year after I began the study of Christian Science, twin boys came to our home. I had absent treatment for two weeks previous to their birth, and thankfully testify that the experiences of that time were absolutely free from pain or discord of any kind. This grand proof of the power of Truth over so-called material law gave me much joy, and I determined to make my life an expression of thankfulness to God for this truth which our dear Leader has labored so wisely and unselfishly to reveal to us.

Within the past year members of our family have been freed from the law of contagion with small-pox, measles, and mumps. We are blessed indeed with daily benefits, and with the constant store of good things in our literature, for all of which our love and gratitude increases.
