I am very thankful that several years ago I became interested in Christian Science. While visiting in London I had the pleasure of reading Science and Health for the first time. I attended the church services and thought them most impressive, also met several people who told me they had been healed in Christian Science. Some time after returning home I was afflicted with varicose veins and suffered for about six months. Then a friend came to stay with me and brought Science and Health with her. Again I read and studied the book, and tried to put the truth into practice to the best of my undertaking, with the result that in two weeks the trouble had entirely disappeared, and I have had no return of it.

This was my first experience of healing in Christian Science, and since that time I have not used any material remedies. Afterward I met with an accident, giving my back a severe strain. This for a time caused much pain, but with the loving help of a practitioner it was quickly overcome. Then in December, 1913, my foot was slightly hurt and a piece of skin rubbed off. I did not take any notice of this until the foot became much swollen and inflamed, with every appearance of blood-poisoning. As I seemed unable to overcome the trouble and relief was urgent, I again asked for help from the practitioner, and the healing was soon complete.

My gratitude is sincere for all the blessings I have received in Christian Science, and I hope I am gaining each day a better understanding of God, who healeth all our diseases. I am also very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for the great spiritual help contained in Science and Health, which unfolds and makes manifest even the truth of the Christ-healing.
