With a desire to render praise unto whom praise is due I...

With a desire to render praise unto whom praise is due I write this testimony. Several years ago I was suffering from bowel trouble, which did not seem to yield to medical treatment. When in June, 1911, the doctors advised me to have an operation, I decided to try Christian Science, and help was received immediately. This caused me to begin the study of the Bible, together with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. Glasses had been worn for nine years, but I had not been reading long when I noticed that they were not needed, as my sight was just as good without them. Then all the old complaints, of which there were so many, left. One of them, a throat affection, was stubborn and hard to get rid of. More than twelve years before this time I had a severe attack of bronchitis, and it had left me with this trouble, which nothing seemed to relieve; but I am thankful to say that it has since yielded to the power of Truth.

I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for showing us how to gain the victory over all error. My health is perfect and has been restored to me entirely through the study of Science and Health. The happiness which I have gained through the spiritual understanding of the Bible is the greatest blessing of them all. I feel deeply grateful for the Christian Science literature, which I read all my spare time, and my greatest desire is to live so that I may be a help to others.
