I am most deeply grateful for the benefits received through Christian Science. A short time ago I had a beautiful proof of God's omnipotence. I awoke one morning with severe headache. I paid no attention to the trouble but quietly attended to my occupations, trying to entertain good thoughts, right thoughts only. However, the pain increased, and fever set in with attendant inability to swallow anything. My mother and I tried to overcome the error ourselves at first, but as I grew more and more miserable, we finally asked a Christian Science practitioner for help. For twelve days I seemed unable to take nourishment and could hardly talk, and there were symptoms of an abscess in the throat.

Treatment was taken up lovingly, while for my part I tried to realize the nothingness of the inharmonious condition and to affirm the truth to the best of my ability. I was filled with joy when soon afterward the trouble left me. It was completely destroyed, and I did not suffer from the slightest after effects such as weakness, but on the third day attended to my duties. Besides this healing I have had many other proofs of the power of divine Love. For these as well as for the loving guidance received at the Sunday school I am sincerely grateful, and my desire is to show my deep appreciation by applying in a practical way the things which thus far I have learned in Christian Science.
