I desire to express my appreciation of what Christian Science...
I desire to express my appreciation of what Christian Science has done for me during the past five years. Jesus' words, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free," mean more to me than ever before, and for the realization of this freedom that has come through the study of Christian Science I am very grateful.
It was owing to the need of physical healing that I became interested in Christian Science, and although the demonstration has been slow I am grateful, for it has brought me nearer to God and has given me a better understanding of man's true being. For many years I had suffered from stomach disorder and hardly knew a day without pain. When I took up Christian Science I had been for several years under the care of doctors, first one and then another, and at that time was taking medicine every hour of the day, and at night too if I awoke. Since 1910 I have not tasted medicine or stimulants of any kind, and I can truly say that my healing is complete.
I am grateful not only for the physical healing, but for the mental uplift which has come through the spiritual consciousness of life. Christian Science has taught me to think right; it has taught me patience and a willingness to wait for guidance, has brought into my life love for my brother man, and has given me a working Principle that I can apply in my daily life. When I am mindful of God's love and realize the blessings we receive from the many promises He has given, I am more thoughtful, and my work in business is made much happier. By keeping ever before me the knowledge that as God's child I can reflect only divine intelligence, the daily problems become clear, and I am assured that "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
