Christian Science is doing good,—indeed, so much good...
Portland (Ore.) Spectator
Christian Science is doing good,—indeed, so much good that it is a marvel that newspapers admit to their columns attacks on it when so many evil influences call for excoriation. The testimony of its followers sets forth some of the good it has done. It has put into the lives of many the sunlight of a peace and happiness that were not there before; it has brought comfort to the hopeless, and healing to many who were thought to be incurable. Probably Christian Science has not done all that is claimed for it, but if it has done but an infinitestimal part of the things to which testimony is daily made, surely it is worthy of consideration and should be immune from the paid attacks of needy writers and necessitous newspapers.
