The Lectures

In introducing William D. McCrackan, who lectured on Christian Science in the High School auditorium, James E. Kelley, attorney, said:—

Great and new experiences are before us. We are advancing. God is no longer believed to be a man seated on a great white throne afar in the sky, to whom in the past men vainly lifted their hands in prayer and their voices in praise. That dream-vision of a material God has vanished, and man has awakened to find his true God, good; that God is Spirit and is everywhere. The time has come when men need a wayshower, a light to lead them out of the wilderness of error, and the truth of Christian Science has come as "the pillar of the cloud" to guide them.

Like Paul, we count not ourselves to have yet fully attained, but this one thing we do, "forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before," we "press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."—Correspondence.
