I feel it a pleasant duty to write a partial list of the many blessings which Christian Science has brought to me. I was a physical wreck and had no hope of ever being better. I had suffered from rheumatism for many years, also from a bowel difficulty, for which I had been treated by many of the best physicians of the East and of this city. Finally I was taken suddenly with a pain in my right shoulder and arm, and it was so intense that for over a week I was unable to lie down day or night. I called in a specialist of this city, and he said I would have to go under the X-ray in order that he might determine the trouble. This I did, and the examination showed that my shoulder was dislocated and the bone of my arm diseased to the elbow. The physician said he could do nothing for me and that I would have to undergo an operation; but this I refused to do.

At this time a neighbor brought me a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, the first I had ever seen. I have been reading this book ever since, and am free from all the above ailments. Since December, 1910, when this healing took place, Christian Science has been my only physician, and I am at the present time enjoying perfect health. Words cannot express my gratitude for this religion and all it has done for me. I am thankful to God for His love and guidance, and grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the legacy she has left us in Science and Health. My greatest desire is that I may demonstrate the truth of Christian Science by my living.

Mrs. F. E. Grau, San Francisco, Cal.
