My first healing in Christian Science took place over five years ago. At that time I was cured of a so-called organic disorder in five treatments. About a year later I had a severe attack of chills and fever, with night sweats, but I was completely healed of both in one week's treatment. I took no real interest in Science, however, until I experienced a case of slow healing about two years and a half ago, when I was not only healed physically, but greatly benefited morally; a result which is inevitable in Science. The smoking habit and profanity have also been overcome.

The reading of the Bible is now helpful and interesting, whereas before I had no desire for it. Then, too, my concepts of pleasure and enjoyment, which were mostly sensual and sinful, have been completely reversed. When I look back and see the change that has taken place in me, both physically and morally, through the study of Christian Science and the help of a faithful practitioner, and then realize the importance of Mrs. Eddy's life-work to all humanity, I feel that I have much for which to be thankful to God.
