It affords me great pleasure to testify to all the benefits which I have received through Christian Science. For several years, despite all manner of medical treatment, my chest and the lower part of the body caused me constant suffering. I was troubled with continuous coughing, sleeplessness, and almost unbearable headaches, accompanied by dizziness and distress in my eyes. Especially distressing were sweats, followed by chills, as if I had a fever. I was discouraged and did not know what to do next, for the physicians whom I had consulted, besides contradicting each other, failed to say anything definite regarding the outcome of my case. My character was unfavorably affected by my suffering, for I became very sensitive, irritable, and had gloomy thoughts.

God did not, however, allow my suffering to go on, and in June, 1913, it was my good fortune to hear of Christian Science. Thanks to the teachings of Mrs. Eddy, which were so ably explained to me, and to the treatments in Science from a practitioner who assisted me in this way that seemed so new and at times difficult to me, the unreal conditions gradually vanished. At the time of this writing I am in good health, peaceful and trusting, full of thankfulness to God, and gratitude to Mrs. Eddy. I am also thankful for the faithful assistance which helped me to understand that God is Love.—Berthe Roth, Geneva, Switzerland.
