A few years ago I was healed of an eruption on my hands and ears. At times both eyes were almost closed on account of the swelling caused from the highly inflamed condition of the ears, both external and internal. I had suffered for more than three years from this malady, and the remedies prescribed by local doctors failed to relieve me. I was hardly able to use my hands at all, was miserable from sleeplessness, discouraged, and desperate, when a neighbor who had received great help from Christian Science treatment told me about it as a healing means, and gave me some copies of the Sentinel to read. A little later on I asked her to write to a practitioner whom she knew, for treatment, and in a few days my hands showed marked improvement. This friend loaned me a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and I cannot command language to describe to peaceful assurance I felt when reading this wonderful book. Treatment was continued for five weeks, when all trace of the disease was gone, and I have been free from it ever since.

One of my sons was healed of chronic headaches and profuse hemorrhages of the nose. Another son, twelve years old, was stricken with a spasm having all the symptoms of epilepsy, and was unconscious for two days. A letter was again sent to the practitioner asking for help, and in an hour from the time the letter was received the boy regained consciousness. He rapidly improved from that moment, and in a few days was able to attend school again. These healings were accomplished through absent treatment, proving to us that the power back of the treatment is omnipresent Mind. A minor illness of my little daughter, two years old, was healed simply through my reading to her out of the text-book. The truth so clearly stated in this wonderful book has lessened our fears and sense of limitation, and we are happier than ever before. The outlook upon things in general has been greatly broadened by the Monitor and the Sentinel, copies of which occasionally come to us in this remote section, where Christian Science is little known.

We are happy in thus availing ourselves of the opportunity to express heartfelt gratitude to all those who have been instrumental in helping us to these glimpses of the "promised land" of peace and plenty, which can be ours in every experience when we apply right thinking about God and man as His image and likeness. The little I have learned about God through reading the Christian Science text-book has made life much brighter and happier for me, and my hope is that my testimony will be of benefit to others.
