From my experience in Christian Science I am realizing...

From my experience in Christian Science I am realizing more and more each day the truths contained in the Scriptures, with the full assurance all through the Bible that the Almighty will do what is promised, namely, restore health unto us, and heal us of our wounds.

Shortly after I had overcome a severe prejudice against what I believed this teaching to be, and before I had read much on the subject, I was healed of acute lung trouble through Christian Science treatment. Because of all the wonderful "works" I have experienced personally, as well as the healing I have seen accomplished among my friends, I have been convinced of God's ability and willingness to heal "all manner of disease." There are thousands of people all over the world, multitudes in the remotest parts of the globe, singing praises unto God for His "very present help" as taught and demonstrated in Christian Science. The majority of these people have been healed of diseases and conditions which were pronounced hopeless, after every material means for help and healing had been exhausted, thus proving that "man's extremity is God's opportunity."

I have also experienced the healing of a deep sorrow and grief. At that time the head of my former church, desiring to console me, came to me with the words, "It is God's will." I replied that if it was God's will that people should be sick, suffer, and die, it had been quite inconsistent of me to employ twenty-three physicians in trying to prevent God's will from being enacted. From what I have learned and experienced in Christian Science, it is not the will of the Father of Israel to afflict His children, for God is Love, and "underneath are the overlasting arms," uplifting, upholding, guarding, guiding, and protecting those who are obedient to His commands.
