About fourteen years ago I became interested in Christian Science through acquaintances. I had a very difficult family problem to solve, which was, however, worked out with the loving assistance of a practitioner. I have attained the conviction that God, the only good, is the law governing me, and it has enabled me to overcome a seeming power named sin. My dear mother, who is eighty-four years of age, was healed in a wonderful way of a sore on the leg with which she had been afflicted for thirty years. In accordance with a medical verdict she expected to have the limb amputated, but having applied for Christian Science treatment, she was healed in a short time. Later on she had a slight stroke, which left her with a weakened condition of the head, but Christian Science also healed her of this trouble. For this blessing, as well as for many others, I thank God with all my heart, and I am grateful to our faithful Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for showing us through her work the way of Life. I am also grateful for the beautiful services and Wednesday evening meetings, and it shall be my endeavor to put more and more of these glorious teachings into practice.
