It is with love and thankfulness to God, and gratitude to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, that I send this testimony. My mother and I became interested in Christian Science through the healing of my aunt. I attended the church with her occasionally, but on being asked why I did not try Christian Science treatment, replied that Science could not help me. I however finally decided to give it a trial, having suffered from bowel disorder since birth. The last few years before my healing I never retired without taking some kind of medicine for this difficulty. With just four Christian Science treatments I was entirely healed, and have remained so. After this healing I immediately began to study the Bible, and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. By reading these books I have been healed of female trouble, and enabled to lay aside glasses that had been worn most of the time since childhood. I have also been helped in many other ways.

I had been a member of another church all my life. My mother always took me to all of the services when I was a child, but as I grew older I began to wonder why, if God was all powerful and all loving, He would allow His children to suffer. I therefore lost interest in the church and seldom attended. When I did go it was because my mother insisted, saying that it was my duty. But since Christian Science has come into my life I know that God is Truth, Love, and Life, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient, and that He does not permit His children to suffer.
