I had always been dissatisfied with myself, and conditions over which I had no control worried me with their complications, so that finally my health was gone and I was practically a nervous wreck. Then I gave up what I supposed was God, thinking there was no use in trying to serve One who gave nothing in return, not even peace. After years of doubt I happened to live in a house with a Christian Scientist, and she reflected Love to such an extent that I began to wonder what she had that made life so sweet. I had been a church-member for years, but when an operation was declared necessary and we could by no means afford it, I turned to Christian Science in my perplexity and was entirely healed of chronic bowel trouble, stomach disorder, and neuralgia. The healing has been permanent, and I have steadily grown stronger and happier; indeed, I am almost a new creature.

I give this testimony with a most grateful heart, in the hope that it may help some one. That divine Love should have given us our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, proves beyond a doubt His watchful, tender care.
