I am exceedingly grateful for Christian Science, which I began to study during my girlhood. At first I attended the church services to please my mother, as she is a Christian Scientist. Gradually, however, the beauty of this faith dawned upon my consciousness, and I felt confident that Truth alone could bring me permanent happiness. I have been able to overcome fear of speaking and playing in public through the knowledge that fear is but belief in a power apart from God.

I am now attending college, and by studying the Lesson-Sermon every morning I am better equipped mentally for the day's work. Besides my regular college studies I have done some teaching and other work along musical lines. I have remained well and strong by realizing that "whatever it is your duty to do, you can do without harm to yourself" (Science and Health, p. 385). I am very thankful for the great privilege of having class instruction, and my sincere desire is to reflect more of Truth and Love.
