I gladly give my testimony, with the hope that it may reach some one who is weary and athirst, as I was when I found Christian Science. I did not seek it for physical healing, as I did not believe I could be healed in this way. I had suffered with asthma for twenty years, and had tried everything, but any resulting relief was for only a short time. My physician told me the sole cure would be a change of climate; so I went West, but on my return was even worse than before. I could never go out when it was cold or damp, and could never sweep unless my nose and mouth were covered. When the severe attacks came on, the doctor would give me an opiate, and that meant several days in bed. I also had neuralgia in my head very badly, as well as heart trouble and rheumatism. It seemed to me that life was only a burden, with never a well day, and I wanted to die ; but I found that "man's extremity is God's opportunity."

I began to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, to see what it taught, and I had read only a few minutes when it seemed as though God said to me that this was what I needed; and I have indeed found it so, for this is the blessed truth that makes us free. The Bible had been a closed back to me, but now it is my daily study with Science and Health, and I can say I am perfectly well and happy.

I feel very thankful to God, and grateful to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for showing us the way of Life; and my constant prayer is so to live that I may be worthy of the name Christian Scientist.
