I feel that in gratitude to God I ought to acknowledge what the study of the Bible as explained in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, with all her other writings, has done and is doing for me. One night my dear son, a boy fifteen years old, went out alone, and he never came back to me again. My darling was found dead at a railroad crossing; and as I did not then have a religion to support me, I was like one without feeling, my heart like a stone, until one night I met an acquaintance who called to me, and I was so bewildered that it seemed like a voice from another world. And so it was, a world different from any I had ever known. He talked of Christian Science, of which I had never heard, and invited me to attend a meeting at the church. I went, and then, and not till then, did I learn what it means to live, because from that night of my first attendance at a testimonial meeting I found God, and have spent the happiest hours of my life in reading Mrs. Eddy's book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I still wonder how I ever lived without this truth.

I have a son twenty-five years old who was so astonished at the change brought about in me that he began to study Science and Health also, and has become a Christian Scientist. I had never met such people as the Scientists I know; they have each and every one done me some kindness. Mrs. Eddy has brought blessings to so many poor bruised hearts like mine that my pen and voice seem too weak to express my love for her. I hope my experience will do some one good, and bring to others the knowledge it has brought to me and mine of the great power of Truth and Love.
