Blackpool (England) Gazette News

Your correspondent "C. S." would, I am sure, take another stand if he had quite a decided pain in any part of his body and was advised to "think nowt about it." This would be very poor consolation for any one who is suffering, and Christian Science never advises any one to "think nowt about it." It advises them to think rightly about it, to realize that pain can have no reality or power in the face of Truth, because it is not of Truth, or God, and therefore not true. The healing work of Christian Science is in no way related to this negative nonsense, but it is the positive activity of the law of God, destroying every form of evil, including sin, disease, and death, and establishing healthful conditions of mind and body.

Christian Scientists, unlike your correspondent, would not be afraid to take their own medicine, for that medicine is the truth of man's perfection in and unity with good, which always makes free.
