I wish to express my gratitude for the many benefits I have received through the study of Christian Science. It was not through physical healing that I became interested, but because I reached through its teaching an understanding of Life, God, that He is "divine Principle, Mind, Soul, Spirit" (Science and Health, p. 468), and soon found in this knowledge of an ever-active divine Principle the healing power of Truth. One day I stepped upon a nail with such force that it penetrated through the sole of my shoe into my foot, and so deeply embedded was it, that it required a great effort to withdraw the foot. Much swelling and pain appeared for a day, but two days later I was able to wear my shoe and walk about. The next healing was in a case of poisoning, which was overcome without any unpleasant after results. In both cases I had the loving help of a practitioner.

For these proofs of the power of Truth and the spiritual blessings I have received, I am truly grateful to God, also to Mrs. Eddy, who has shown to the world the way to divine Truth and Love.
