Give me, O Lord, the strength that dwells
As everlasting hills,
That stands serene through stress and storm,
And human passion stills.

Give me the peace that silent flows
As river deep along,
Content to bear on bosom broad
Love's message sweet and strong.

Give me the faith that's hidden deep
Like root and bulb and flower,
That grows and strengthens day by day
In sunshine and in shower.

Let me reflect the love that shines
As glorious orb of day,
The soothing, tender love that speaks
In moon, and stars' soft ray.

Let me express the joy that rings
In song of merry birds,
The patience that in bee and ant
The love of service girds.

Help me reflect the perfect Mind
That speaks through flower and sod,
Pointing forever up to Thee,
As did Thy Son, O God.
