Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for the...
Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for the abundant blessings, including health, which I have received from treatment and study in Christian Science. Before I had treatment, one of the many doctors who attended me pronounced me an absolute wreck, and said I would not live six months. My healing took place six years ago, since which time I have been strong and healthy, with no sign of weakness of any kind. Only those who have spent a lifetime of illness and suffering can understand what it means to be well. Nothing I could do or say would sufficiently express my feelings of gratitude and thankfulness. I however hope, by the study of the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, to gain an understanding which will enable me to help others as I have been helped.
A recent experience in the rapid healing of a very severe attack of throat trouble proved to me the ever-presence of God, good. In former days this was considered a very serious complaint with me, and always meant a week or ten days in bed, attended with great suffering and weakness when I attempted to get up. This time, however, the whole thing was healed in two hours through the understanding of the power of divine Truth, by myself, which seemed very wonderful, as it was the first time I had been where there was no Christian Science practitioner to help me. I at first had some fear as to my ability to treat myself, and it was therefore a great joy to find that I had sufficiently studied the Principle and rules to be able to effect the cure. For these and numerous other blessings I am very grateful, and long to prove my gratitude in helping others as I have been helped. It is quite impossible to express my thankfulness and gratitude to God for revealing the truth to our Leader, who has shown it to mankind.
