I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science. Four years ago I was healed of a severe attack of rheumatism, and my little daughter was healed of St. Vitus' dance about the same time. These physical healings, however, seem the least of all my blessings when compared to the spiritual awakening which has come to us in knowing God aright. My heart is filled with thanksgiving to God for the life of Mrs. Eddy, who has given us "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."

In the fall of 1901 I started from Lewiston, Idaho, to go to San Francisco, Cal., to meet some doctors who had been treating me for more than two years, though my health was not being restored, and on the train I made the acquaintance of a man who told me of Christian Science and the work it is doing. I had never heard of it before, so I stopped at Portland, Ore., and was treated by a Christian Science practitioner. I also studied the Bible, along with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and was permanently healed in five weeks.
