I have been a student of Christian Science only a short time, but in that time my life has been completely changed, for I now believe in a God who is Love. I have been healed of many ailments. As the result of an automobile accident, I was unconscious for several hours, my arm, shoulder, and head being badly injured; but a Christian Science practitioner helped me at once, and in two days, through her loving care, I was able to do my housework. Indeed, I had no pain at all. I have also been helped in many other ways, and words fail to express my gratitude for the benefits I have received through Christian Science.
I was also healed of a very painful attack of what was called black erysipelas. A doctor said I could not live, but I remembered that Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health, "When the illusion of sickness or sin tempts you, cling steadfastly to God and His idea." She also says that "God will heal the sick through man, whenever man is governed by God" (p. 495). It is with love and gratitude that I give my testimony, and I hope that others seeking for the truth may be benefited by it. I feel I cannot be grateful enough to God, and to Christian Science for my understanding of Truth. I am able to overcome many ailments for myself and to help others. My blessings are indeed many.
