Three years have elapsed since I found Christian Science, and I wish to add this testimony in token of deep gratitude for all the benefits derived therefrom. Four years ago I had a severe apoplectic attack accompanied by paralysis of the left side of the body, followed by an affection of the cerebral arteries. I was in a wretched condition, and the physician informed my family that there was very little hope of my recovery. I became weaker with every month, although a great many material remedies were resorted to, and I also spent all summer in the country, where I was well cared for, but the paralytic condition did not yield; on the contrary, it extended over the other side of the body, so that it became almost impossible for me to move or leave my bed. The affection of the arteries of the brain went on, my mind began to be clouded, and at times I seemed unable to understand the conversation of the members of my family. While in this state of great need, and to sense beyond aid, I heard of Christian Science, turned to its teachings, and was treated and helped by a dear Scientist. During the first visit of the practitioner I was enabled to move around the room, and after her third visit to attend the meeting. My strength returned in a very short time, and I was able through Christian Science to overcome quickly all the other troubles which used to manifest themselves, as gall-stone, inflammation of the throat, etc.

This wonderful proof of the healing power of divine Love caused my husband and three children to become adherents of Christian Science. They have already had wonderful demonstrations of the power of Truth and Love, and are striving to prove their gratitude through right living. Christian Science has brought to our home a larger measure of love, peace, and happiness, and has become a comforter and helper to us in times of trouble. I feel that I cannot be grateful enough to God for the many blessings which have come to me through Christian Science. I am also very grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has restored to us the Christ-teaching and shown us the way to Truth.
