I wish to express my gratitude for the healing of a trouble with my ear, from which I had been suffering for over a week. I tried to apply my slight understanding of Christian Science, but did not seem to get any results. The suffering apparently grew worse, particularly at night, and I could not sleep. A member of the family then asked me if I would like some help, and I said I would. I received treatment that morning, but again in the night the pain seemed to grow worse, until I declared that I could not stand it any longer, and that I would have to see if a doctor could not help me, as I could not go through another night without sleep. The lady who had given me the treatment asked me if I thought I had given Christian Science a fair chance. I had had only one treatment, and what had I given to God that I should expect to be instantaneously healed? She said I was not trusting God, and if God had not helped me did I expect that a doctor could? She urged me to be faithful and trust God and that He would deliver me. She gave me another treatment then, and I was healed. The pain left me while I was being treated. I am very grateful to God for Christian Science, also to Mrs. Eddy for the revelation of Truth to this age which enables us to be delivered from all evil.—H. Blackman, New York, N. Y.
