I became acquainted with the teachings of Christian Science through my grandparents, who had been benefited by its treatment. I had been afflicted for several years with weakness of the eyes, which caused me considerable inconvenience. It often was impossible for me to see in doing needlework and in reading without rubbing my eyes previously; besides which I experienced great difficulty in learning my lessons for school. Our hope that this condition would change proved of no avail, and finally we applied to a Christian Science practitioner. The result was that with two weeks' treatment I was completely healed.

When doubts come I cling with a firm trust to God, who is ready to help us if we approach Him in the right way. We cannot be too grateful to God for leading us to Christian Science, for to it alone we owe our happiness. We herewith give thanks to God and express gratitude to our beloved Leader.
