It is with gratitude that I write to tell of the blessings...
It is with gratitude that I write to tell of the blessings I have received since I have known of Christian Science. It is over four years since my little daughter was cured of rheumatic trouble, and she is now ten years old. No matter what form of error manifests itself, we always have our remedy at hand, the truth which is taught in the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. When I first heard of Christian Science I did not take to it very kindly, in fact I thought it absurd; but when my little girl was healed, almost instantaneously, my views were entirely changed. At the time I turned to Christian Science my little daughter could not walk, and her condition was believed to be hereditary. Previous to the time when I gained some understanding of the truth I dreaded the cold weather, always fearing the terrible pain to mortal sense which came on during the winter months. When, however, we know the truth we have nothing to fear, for "perfect love casteth out fear."
Christian Science not only helps us physically but mentally. I was very unhappy, and it did seem as though life was nothing but a disappointment. I am therefore so glad to know that we are all God's children, and the truth sets us free from mental darkness as well as from disease. I must tell of one more blessing. Some time ago my little daughter was exposed to a contagious disease, and a few days afterward the same symptoms appeared,—a high temperature, a very bad throat, etc. The healing was rapid; in fact, after two absent treatments and with the application of what knowledge of Truth there was in our own household, the illness was overcome. I am indeed grateful to God, also to Mrs. Eddy for showing us the way to apply this glorious Science.—
Mrs. S. Alice Miller, Buffalo, N. Y.
