I wish to state that I resided on the isthmus of Panama from December, 1905, until July 28, 1910, with the exception of a few months, when I was in the States on vacations. During this time I depended entirely on Christian Science for help in case of physical ailments. I had been troubled at times for years with a bronchial affection, and a short time after reaching Panama had a severe attack which was cured by Christian Science, and I have never had the slightest return of the ailment. In March, 1907, I had a fever with all the symptoms of a most malignant kind known in the tropics. I wish to say that my native servant (although offered double pay) would not remain in the house, as she declared that she sensed death. My condition was most critical when Christian Science help came, but I was healed in a very short time. The evidence of this healing was such that a neighbor much against her will was convinced that Christian Science could and did heal. Her father and mother both were physicians, so it was not to be wondered at that she was skeptical; but today she relies on the one great Physician.—
