"What shall I do to inherit eternal life?"

Walnut Valley Times

"What shall I do to inherit eternal life?" The answer to this question is clearly and unmistakably set forth in the declaration of the Master, "This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent;" thus the entering into a complete salvation is through a knowledge of God and His Christ.

Mortals are called upon, as was the rich young ruler, to "sell that thou hast, ... and come and follow me." When Jesus declared, "The kingdom of God is within you," he referred to the divine state of being expressed in the consciousness of man; therefore for mankind "to inherit eternal life" they must sell—exchange—their human concept of existence for the divine.

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing." The so-called human existence, manifesting itself according to physical law, was silenced by our Lord and Master through his understanding of spiritual cause and effect operating through divine law; therefore he spoke authoritatively when he said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me;" thus the life of Christ demonstrated is the way of salvation.
