I have been an adherent of Christian Science for the past four years, and many have been the blessings which have come to me during that time. Our all-loving Father was my support and strength in gloomy days of mourning, when medical means failed to save my husband from death. Fear and anxiety drove me to a Christian Science practitioner, and I found rest and peace of mind. I could not read English, but having gained some understanding through reading Der Herold der Christian Science, I was very anxious to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, although I had reached the age of sixty.

All things being possible with God, however, I began the study. I used the German Bible, the English Bible, and Science and Health, and a dear relative helped me to pronounce the words. I wish to state here that I was healed through the power of ever-present Love, and through the benign influence of the divine Mind which I experienced. I was healed of bowel trouble, hemorrhoids, and stagnation of the blood in the legs, of years' standing, through the work of a Christian Science practitioner. I am now able to read Science and Health understandingly, and also the Monitor. I have had beautiful instances of healing in my family. My niece, who is going to school, had worn glasses for four years on account of near-sightedness, but to my great joy she was healed with nine treatments, for which I am very grateful. The child's father had a severe cold with fever and could hardly speak, but he was healed with three treatments and able to go to work on the fifth day.
