I have long wished to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. In July, 1909, I felt as if I was more dead than alive. I was suffering from what was termed nervous collapse, and no one can know what that means unless he has had a similar experience. I had been ill for some years, but finally I collapsed. Through the influence of a cousin I had been led to investigate Christian Science, and when the crisis came I did not think of using any other means, although I had not grasped it enough to help myself. I applied to this cousin for help, and as soon as possible I went to see her. I began to improve from the first, and since then I have taken class instruction, and have been able to help myself as well as others.

This testimony would not be complete if I did not mention the help which my father received when the doctors had condemned him to die from "Bright's disease." He is now better than he has been for years, and it is all due to Christian Science, for he did not have any other treatment after the medical verdict was given. I feel deeply grateful for the help we have received, and thank God that I have been led to a realization of this great truth.

Words fail me to express the peace and happiness which have come into my life since I have gained some understanding of Christian Science. The physical healing has been great, but it cannot compare with the spiritual uplift, and I can say with the apostle that "old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." I am trying to live my gratitude, for I know I cannot prove it in any more effective way.
