Christian Science has done so much for me, I feel I must voice my gratitude through the Sentinel, though words are all too feeble to express my thanks. About eight years ago a little one came to our home. I had asked for Christian Science treatment, and the birth was painless and natural. Immediately after birth the nurse discovered a startling condition in the child, there being no skin over the abdomen, but only a thin covering of tissue. She at once notified the practitioner, emphasizing the fact that she had never known of such a case being healed through materia medica, and that unless something wonderful was done the child could not possibly live. During all this time there was a peculiar odor, but through Christian Science treatment it disappeared; the skin began to form over the tissue, growing until a perfectly normal condition was manifested and the child was completely healed. This proved to me that God is Love, as the Bible teaches.

One night I was suddenly awakened by a sense of impending danger. I at once began to apply my understanding of Christian Science, knowing that God could take care of us when asleep as well as when awake and that I was surrounded by divine Love. The fear all left me, and I was conscious of the all-power of God, good. I have had other manifestations of the healing efficacy of Christian Science, and I am indeed thankful for all these proofs that the truth does make us free.—Mrs. Rosie Dickey, Guthrie, Okla.
