I wish to acknowledge my gratitude to God for the perfect health which I now enjoy through Christian Science. For about four years I had a continuous uterine hemorrhage, though medical doctors both here and in the city of Buffalo, N. Y., tried in vain to give me some relief. Christian Science found me at a time when I was thin, pale, and unable to walk any distance, much less to do any housework. I was obliged to wear a support all the time, but after a few treatments in Christian Science I found that I could not only walk but could run and not suffer from it. I began to have color in my face and finally every symptom of the disease disappeared. The practitioner not only treated me, but talked to me and helped me to realize that God is Life and that God is All-in-all.

This realization took place over two years ago, and it lifted me so far above all discord that I am able to do any kind of housework, as well as being able to get up at four or five o'clock in the morning and keep on the move until about nine at night, without experiencing any sense of weakness or feeling the need of support other than the understanding that God is infinite and the only source of our life, health, and strength. I am deeply grateful to Mrs. Eddy for having given to the world "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," also for the patience, love, and wisdom with which my thought was guided "into new and healthy channels,—toward the contemplation of things immortal and away from materiality to the Principle of the universe, including harmonious man" (Science and Health, p. 276).—Mrs. B.
