The writings of Mrs. Eddy have brought about an increased in the study of the Bible. It is a very common occurrence to hear the beneficiaries of Christian Science (and the number is quite large in this city) testify that the one thing beyond the physical healing most highly prized, gained through a demonstrable understanding of the Christian Science text-book, is a better understanding of God with increased faith in Him, a better understanding of the mission of Christ Jesus with a greater desire to follow in his footsteps, a better understanding of the Bible with a greater love for God's Word. If a sermon in which some explanation of the Bible is made results in awakening an interest in Bible study, and the minister is referred to as a Christian worker, what shall be said of Mrs. Eddy's interpretation and explanation of the Scriptures, especially so when it brings healing—physical, moral, and spiritual? Jesus taught that judgment should be made according to the fruit the tree bears.

Many denominations have Bible helps or commentaries on the Scriptures, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mrs. Eddy, is the Christian Science commentary. Through the study of the Bible in the light of Science and health many people have been healed of sin and disease, many drunkards have been reformed, and many people have been lifted out of infidelity and agnosticism, and have been able to gain a brighter glimpse of God, infinite good, divine Love.
