After having had twelve physicians work on my case of severe stomach trouble, and after spending months in a sanitarium and weeks in a hosptial, I decided to investigate Christian Science. I had been a church-member since I was a child, and had always heard Christian Science criticized and lightly spoken of, so I had but little faith in it until I called upon a practitioner, and after talking with her a short while was convinced that it was indeed the truth, and I would try the treatment. The physicians had told me that my stomach would never be well again, as it seemed to be greatly injured by the strong drugs which I had taken. I had not been able to eat any solid food for a year, but after receiving three treatments in Christian Science I was able to eat a hearty supper, and have been able to eat anything that I wished to ever since.

On another occasion a severe attack of toothache was relieved in one treatment. I also had a very large tooth extracted without pain under Christian Science treatment, although the dentist insisted it would hurt me unless he used an anesthetic. Later, I had an attack of acute lung trouble, and at first I had great fear about my condition, but I called on a faithful practitioner who had helped me in the cases before mentioned. After spending two nights and two days in bed, on the third night, after eating my supper, I got up, dressed myself, and went to a Wednesday evening meeting, where I took an active part, knowing that our every need is supplied by divine Love.
