I am deeply grateful for the marvelous healing which came to me through Christian Science. I had injured my left ankle, and applied a powerful drug which caused a smarting pain. This became so intense, the chemical having penetrated to the bone, that I sent for the family physician, the pain having increased so that I was obliged to go to bed. He did all he could, but I got no relief, the leg being swollen to the knee, and poisoning had apparently set in. Twice a day the wound was dressed, but I was growing steadily worse, the medicine giving no relief. For a week I suffered terribly, and the sight of the wound was so dradful that while it was being dressed every one had to leave the room.

My sister was then just beginning to take Christian Science treatment, and I asked her if she thought I, too, could be healed. She replied affirmatively, and said that if I so desired she would speak to her practitioner about me the next mroning at church. Directly after the service the lady treated me, and when my sister returned from church I told her I felt very much better in every way. That afternoon I got out of bed and dressed myself unaided. The next morning I came down to break fast, the following day went out into the garden, and in ten days' time went to Boston on a shopping tour of several days. My healing was instantaneous, for the pain began to leave immediately when I was first treated and before I felt conscious that I was being treated. The wound healed quickly, but the pain vanished at once into its native nothingness.

My healing seemed to be a miracle, but I know now it was in accordance with divine law. I am, however, more grateful, if such can be possible, for the spiritual aid I have experienced and which has been the greatest help I have ever known over material difficulties, a never-failing source of help for comfort and peace. Fears of certain diseases have disappeared, and the assurance of divine protection, of God's care, I now in a measure realize. I have been in Science only a short time, but it has brought much happiness and harmony into my life.
