I have had very much to be thankful for since my healing, nearly eleven years ago. We have had many proofs of God's loving care, and the following ailments have been healed through Christian Science treatment,—chronic stomach and bowel trouble, catarrh, severe headaches, whooping-cough, measles, and a disease of the throat of serious type. The case was medically diagnosed, and in one day and night the child was healed.
My husband had what seemed a most severe accident over seven years ago. He was crushed between the cab window on the engine and the coal chute at the mines. As the engine moved past the chute, he was pressed through a place a few inches wide. A doctor who was called before they brought him home, said he had little hope for him, saying the internal injuries were very severe. We however began treatment in Christian Science immediately and my husband rested well that night, in three days was up, and in ten days was back at work on the switch engine.
I had a most wonderful proof of divine Love's ever-presence and care at the birth of my youngest daughter. It was to me a great unfolding of the truth and a great change from such experiences before I knew of Christian Science. I am truly grateful for this. I was also in a railway wreck on the 16th of February, 1909. I was taken out unconscious. My injuries were pronounced to be internal. The railroad doctor said I had serious injuries at the base of the brain and to the right arm.
