Fourteen years ago I became interested in Christian Science through a friend who had been healed of various complaints, one of which was liver trouble. My own healing was slow, but this was all the better, as it compelled me to study our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which probably I would not otherwise have done, as religion was something which I had not especially care about at that time. When a child I had had a severe attack of illness, and after it my throat seemed to be in a very weakened condition, as the physician had said it would be, as a result of the illness.
At the time I became interested in Christian Science, I was being treated by materia medica, but found no relief, all material remedies having failed. Christian Science is now our only physician, and we have found this truth a positive remedy in every case. In a family of six (four of whom are children) ills and accidents of various kinds have come up, but as we have applied this healing truth these ills have been promptly overcome.
I thank God that Christian Science has been brought to us. Toward Mrs. Eddy I have always felt that the more obedient I am to God's law, the more gratitude I shall show.—Mrs. Sophia Peters, Chicago, Ill.
