My purpose in sending in my testimony to the Sentinel is twofold. Primarily, of course, it is to help some earnest seeker who wishes to know if Christian Science really does heal and if it helps us to a clearer understanding of God. Then, too, this testimony is written to express my gratitude to God, and to let many kind friends who have helped me to an understanding of the truth know that they did help both by words and actions, even though no attention was paid to them at the time. It was nine years ago that friends in Chicago first advised us to try Christian Science, but it was not until three years later that we (a family of six) decided to turn to it for help, and then it was almost as a last resort. In our family at home I have seen many diseases healed within the last six years, including fevers, boils, burns, headaches of various kinds, and many other ills. In our little family here, consisting of my husband, little boy, and myself, Christian Science has been an ever-present help. I feel healthier and happier than I ever did before.

I hope I may show my love and respect for that dear woman, Mrs. Eddy, who has helped me to a better understanding of God and the Bible, by striving each day to have that Mind in me "which was also in Christ Jesus."
