I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science...
I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. From childhood I was constantly under the care of doctors. I had several operations for catarrh, and about eight years ago I was taken with an illness which left me with a very bad form of bowel trouble. I was obliged to take medicine every day, and had two severe sick spells each year, including two very bad attacks of inflammation, until, finally, I was taken with appendicitis, for which the doctors claimed there was no cure apart from an operation, to which we were very much opposed.
I tried different doctors and medicines, but with no relief. I was also a nervous wreck, besides having headaches and biliousness. I became desperate ; I felt that the doctors could not help me, so I thought I would try Christian Science before risking an operation. I went to a practitioner, not having much faith, as I had not the true understanding ; but greatly to my surprise and joy, after the first treatment I felt much relief, and at the end of two weeks I was entirely healed. I have not had any of those ailments since, and I am very happy and enjoy every moment of my life. I have not only gained health and happiness, but I have also gained a spiritual understanding of this great truth. I am indeed grateful to God for the understanding of Christian Science, and also to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for pointing out the way to the kingdom of God.
Mrs. Minnie B. Nasnec, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
