Frank Lyon, attorney for the interstate commerce commission, who has just returned from Oklahoma, where he has been hearing the pipe line case, says that this case promises to be one of the most important undertaken by the commission.
Christian Science
is found to be "a very present help" in overcoming the false claims of depression, discouragement, self-depreciation, self-condemnation, and all their unsubstantial ilk.
Truly
the greatest gift that has come to this age is the Christian Science text-book, which elucidates so clearly and accurately the teachings and practice of the Master.
Christian healing
, without the use of matter of any material means, has been proved to be a practical method within the reach of all mankind and as efficacious now as in Jesus' time.
Divine power we cannot describe, because the finite has not the capacity to give expression to the infinite; but in the moments when we rise above the sordid tastes, appetities, and passions of the human mind, and turn our gaze toward the spiritual, we are able to catch some glimpse of this power through the sense of the nearness and presence of the all-pervading Spirit, manifest as infinite Love.
If to permit the use of its columns for the correction of misstatements made by another publication—whether against Christian Science or any other topic or personality—constitutes championship, the Morning Press has that honor.

We
have received a number of requests for the republication of what our Leader wrote as defining her meaning of the phrase "rotation in office," and we are glad to comply with these requests.
A GREAT
deal is said at the present time about the power of the human will, indeed there are many who mistakenly suppose that Christian Scientists attempt to heal themselves and others by means of will-power, when it is instead the surrender of the belief that man has a mind separate from God which is the first step toward healing.
There
are many Christian people who are tempted to be more or less disturbed—and some of them are Christian Scientists—in view of the fact that the many seem to be getting so far away from that peaceful pursuit of an established order which is so agreeable to human sense.
Man was not made for things that leave us,For that which goeth and returneth,For hopes that lift us yet deceive us,For love that wears a smile yet mourneth; Not for fresh fruits from the dead leaves springingThe cyclic recreation which, at best,Yields us—betrayal still to promise clinging—But tremulous shadows of the realm of rest:For things immortal man was made,God's image, latest from His hand.
I thank God that our Leader had strength of character and integrity enough to prove true to God, to go on and present Christian Science to the world, to teach us the truth about God and man.
It is only a year and a half since I came into Christian Science, and during that time I have longed to tell the world about it, so I send these words, trusting that they may be as a ray of light to some one who is still in the wilderness of material thought, and that those who see the light may keep it steadily before their gaze, until it leads them to liberty.

I have waited over seven years to acknowledge through the Sentinel the many benefits I have received since I turned to Christian Science for help, and I am sure that it has not been lack of gratitude.
