The papers speak of the death of Mary Baker Eddy

The papers speak of the death of Mary Baker Eddy. The good book says "there is no death." What is commonly called death is but a change or transition from one sphere of life or activity to that of another. Mrs. Eddy had reached the good age of ninety years. The Saviour of man, who said there was no death, also taught the change when one's sphere of work was done on this earth. Mrs. Eddy has passed to a higher existence. She is not dead. She lives by her example, her precepts, and the good work she has accomplished.

Although opinions differ in regard to the Christian Science faith, there is no denying that it has brought peace of mind, happiness, moral and physical uplifting to hundreds of thousands of people, living in our country and abroad. The greatest monument to Mrs. Eddy's memory will be the hearts that are filled with gratitude to the one whose illumination of the Scriptures has brought them spiritual contentment and a more implicit faith in God.
