I am grateful for this revealed truth, Christian Science. Its application has made me stronger and more healthy than I ever could have been otherwise, but it is for the understanding, even in a small degree, of God as ever-present, omnipotent good, that I feel most grateful.

A few months ago I had a practical demonstration of the ever-presence of good. My little boy, three and a half years old, had his foot and leg badly scalded. I picked him up immediately and began walking about with him, declaring meanwhile that as God is ever present there was no reality in pain, also repeating the scientific statement of being and the spiritual interpretation of the Lord's Prayer as given in our text-book (pp. 468, 16). In about ten minutes he stopped struggling, and I was able to sit down with him, and talk to him quietly about our heavenly Father's love and care. In about half an hour he sat up and ate a good dinner, and then got on the bed by himself and went to sleep for a short while. When he waked he was able to walk with but a slight limp. During the afternoon he went to see his aunt, who lives near by, and when he came home about five o'clock, to my joy he came running to me and commenced to show me how he could jump, using both feet equally well; and we had no further trouble. The blisters dried up and the child did not even notice they were there.

I have been helped many times and in many ways by this wonderful healing truth, and feel more grateful than words can express to our dear Leader for the selfless love that enabled her to break to us this "bread of life."
