I am myself convinced that when I at last attain to the full consciousness of truth which men call heaven, I shall find there among the men of other lands and other faiths whom I have loved and honored, Socrates and Francis Xavier. Christian Science holds as strongly as does the church to which you belong that there is but one Truth, one Christ, one way of salvation, but it also teaches that the wrong roads of doctrine and practice will eventually be found to be "No thoroughfare," and that even those who try the ninety-nine roads which lead nowhere will at last find the right one, and leaving behind them all that was of this earth, earthy—sorrow, prejudice, sin, and shame—enter the strait gate which leads to eternal life.

Shall we not better promote the interests of truth by leaving other people alone, while we show forth by the beauty and peace of our own lives that we indeed worship the King eternal, immortal, invisible, whose name and nature is Love? Can we not trust that truth will eventually triumph, and God's will be done on earth as in heaven?
