LETTERS TO OUR LEADER

Minneapolis, Minn., June 12, 1909. Mrs. Mary Baker Eddy, Brookline, Mass.

Beloved Teacher and Leader:—A note from Mr. Dittemore tells me of my reappointment as a member of the board of lectureship. I know this could not be without your knowledge and approval, so I am writing now to thank you for entrusting me again with this part of the work. More and more the deep sacredness of this position is impressed upon me, and I long and pray and strive for more perfect preparation for the task. Since God has called me to this place, surely He will and does provide the needed equipment in every way. I am deeply grateful to you, dearest friend and guide, for your recent messages, through the Christian Science Sentinel, concerning the church affairs and teaching. Your counsel comes just when we need it most.

Gratefully and lovingly your student,
