I long to express my gratitude for the great blessings which I have received physically and mentally through Christian Science. For years I had suffered from headaches. I had tried everything conceivable, going from one physician to another, and they all agreed that my condition was serious. Finally other organic troubles set in; at times I would limp, being lame in the right leg. I then heard of a famous physician for nervous diseases in Bohemia. It meant a long journey, but I went to the doctor, and he said, "At present you suffer in the head and in the leg; wait till you get the pains in the back, then you will not be able to rise in bed without assistance." This made me very unhappy, and I decided not to remain at home any more.

Thinking a change of climate might do me good, I went to Dresden. On the day of my arrival there I was fortunate enough to make the acquaintance of a Christian Science practitioner. I had never heard anything of Christian Science before, but soon took great interest in it. I attended the service on Wednesdays and Sundays, and finally asked the same lady to help me. The nervous trouble as well as the organic diseases disappeared, and I now feel better than I ever did before in my life. My relatives at first had little faith in the efficacy of the truth; they were convinced, however, when they saw on my return that I had regained a fresh and healthy appearance, as during my illness my complexion had become very bad.

I have found the understanding of God's all-power, as it is taught in Christian Science, very helpful in every condition of life; it has helped me to overcome the fear and worry which so often used to beset me. I thank God, and also Mrs. Eddy, with all my heart for all the blessings which have been mine through Christian Science.
