Although but a babe in Christian Science, my growth has been rapid and fruitful. A little more than a year ago I first became interested enough in Science to attend the services and read in a desultory way Science and Health and the Lesson-Sermons. At that time I was suffering from more than one bodily ailment for which I was under the care of a physician, and although I believed in a way in the wonderful power of Christian Science, so far as others were concerned, I had no desire to try it for myself.
After many months of medical treatment, in which I was very little improved, I decided to try a Christian Science practitioner. I did so, and in two weeks' treatment I was completely healed of a disease from which I had suffered intensely for seven years. During that same period I had worn glasses to correct so-called hereditary eye trouble, and this was also healed in a few treatments. Since a small child I have been a victim of acute attacks of throat trouble, which invariably meant days and sometimes a week in bed each month, until a condition had arisen which my physician pronounced tubercular, and he said that it was incurable; but this also has disappeared.
The spiritual understanding which I have gained through the study of Science and Health and the Bible Lessons has been very wonderful and uplifting to me. I now realize man's birthright and his unity with God, and I strive each day to gain more of that peace "which passeth all understanding." For these, to me, very wonderful demonstrations I am most grateful.—May Terry, Denver, Col.
