The great success of Christian Science is simply the fruit of its healing and regenerative teaching. It has lifted many out of poverty and misery, and Mrs. Eddy has been a most noble and notable example of the truth of the Biblical statement: "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you:" she has sought for the kingdom of heaven, and found it in God's Word lived and demonstrated. She has sown the seed of Truth, sacrificing all for it; she has reaped its good fruit, and is rich in spiritual blessings, as was Christ Jesus. Her material possessions are the result of her honest labors, and much of her income is spent in deeds of charity, in succoring the poor, and in benefiting all mankind.

It is not true that mothers who have accepted the teachings of Christian Science "permit their helpless children to suffer." These mothers care for their children far better than before learning in teaching. They themselves not only become more gentle, loving, and considerate, but they early teach their children of God's infinite, tender love. The pure and simple truth and faith in divine Love of the little child brought up in the Christian Science household renders him receptive to the truth, causes him to be less fearful and less liable to disease. Many children have been healed through Christian Science after materia medica had failed to benefit them.
