SING ME THY SONG

Sing
me a song, bright morning stars,
Of holiest harmony.
Teach me to chant in rhythmic bars
A heavenly symphony.

Sing me a song of Life and Love,—
Truth's glorious melody;
Angelic voices from above,
Uniting joyously.

Sing me thy song, eternal voice,
Blending my strain to thine;
Teaching me truly to rejoice,
Thy will replacing mine.

Sing me thy song, sweet heavenly choir,
A child-voice grant me, pray,
To sing and climb up higher, higher
Along the perfect way.
